If you upload images to the Site, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the Site can download and extract any location data from images on the Site.

Cookies
If you leave a comment on our Site you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These exist for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after one day.
We may also use functional and analytics cookies to understand how the Site is used. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Site functions.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles and pages on this Site may include embedded content (for example, videos, images, maps, social media feeds, or “save to calendar” links). Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor had visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the conference and as described below:

International data transfers
The conference is based in Bangladesh, and participants come from across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. Your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries other than your own, including by service providers located abroad. Where we transfer data internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is treated securely and in line with this policy.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so that we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users who register on the Site, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
For conference registration, abstract, and payment records, we retain your information for as long as necessary to administer the event and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet accounting, tax, legal, and record-keeping obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
How we protect your data
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
What rights you have over your data
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it;
- request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request that we erase your personal data;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent where we rely on it; and
- lodge a complaint with a relevant data protection authority.
If you have an account on this Site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Children’s privacy
The Site and the conference are intended for healthcare professionals, researchers, and other adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
