On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our great pleasure to invite you to the APASL Single Topic Conference (STC) Dhaka 2026, taking place on 5–6 December 2026 at the InterContinental Dhaka, Bangladesh.

It is a privilege to welcome you to Dhaka — a vibrant city defined by its rich heritage, genuine hospitality, and growing academic excellence. We are delighted that this scientific gathering will bring together hepatologists, gastroenterologists, internists, endocrinologists, cardiologists, nephrologists, surgeons, nutritionists, researchers, trainees, and allied health professionals from across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

Our theme, “MAFLD: Evidence-based, Multidisciplinary Approach in the Era of Targeted Therapy,” addresses one of the most dynamic frontiers in hepatology today. As the global burden of metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease continues to rise, there is an increasing need for updated evidence, multidisciplinary collaboration, and practical strategies that directly improve patient outcomes.

The scientific agenda will feature invited talks, interactive sessions, and free paper presentations. Key areas of focus include disease pathogenesis, non-invasive evaluation, clinical management, and the evolution of targeted treatments. These sessions are specifically designed to foster meaningful exchange of contemporary research findings and practical clinical perspectives.

Hosting this conference in the month of December is deeply significant for us. It is our month of victory — a time of national pride, remembrance, and celebration. It is also the most pleasant time of year in Bangladesh, when Dhaka takes on a festive and welcoming atmosphere.
